Storyline Paranormal Incident
The infamous Odenbrook Sanitarium closed after a mass suicide occurred within its walls. Sixty years later, six college students armed with cameras and recording equipment venture into the asylum to prove the existence of the paranormal. For me, it's those scenes afterward with John in the hospital, and that super weird and vague ending that feels tacked on, that keep PARANORMAL INCIDENT from being a better movie. It's got all the requisite aspects, pretty people doing stupid things in the dark, getting drunk, college assignments, and a seedy, suspect location that no one has any right being in without some kind of supervision.
In a move that is either utterly brilliant or implausibly ludicrous (I cannot decide which), “Paranormal Incident” features an ending that seeks to redefine the term, “deus ex machina.” In one fell swoop, the story explains why the set appears so cheap and the interrogation feels so staged.
616: Paranormal Incident. Special Agent Watts has seen it all when it comes to the paranormal. His team, the Special Investigations Unit, gets called to the derelict Woodburrow Prison, and he thinks it's business as usual. But there's nothing usual about Woodburrow.
Obviously there are going to be a few flaws that might bother people such as the FBI Parapsychologist with a tramp stamp, but in general, this is not a bad film. I would highly recommend 616"Paranormal Incident to anyone who is a fan of the found footage genre, and enjoys seeing new twists on the typical haunted building movies.
